This Privacy Policy explains how Opulent Horizons ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit opulenthorizons.com and when you contact us or request a travel quote.
1. Who we are
Opulent Horizons is a luxury travel service with concierge desks in the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States. For any privacy question, contact us at hello@opulenthorizons.com.
Our promotional activity in the UAE is carried out under a Social Media Advertiser Permit issued by the UAE National Media Authority, permit no. 9135944 (valid to 12 July 2027).
2. Information we collect
- Details you provide through our quote form: your name, email address, phone number (optional), destination(s) of interest, approximate travel dates, number of travellers, and anything you include in your message.
- Limited technical data: our hosting and security provider may process basic technical information (such as your IP address) to serve the website securely.
- Aggregate visit statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool, to understand how the site is used. It records the page visited, the referring site, and general details such as country, browser, operating system, and device type, along with page performance timings. It does not use cookies, does not store or read anything on your device, and does not fingerprint you or follow you across other websites. Your IP address is used only in transit to derive the country and is not retained in the statistics, which we see only in aggregate and cannot use to identify you.
You do not need to create an account, and we do not use advertising trackers or any tool that builds a profile of you across the web.
3. Cookies
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and our analytics tool is cookieless (see section 2). Only strictly necessary cookies that our hosting/security provider (Cloudflare) may set for the site to operate securely are used. Because we use no non-essential cookies and our analytics stores nothing on your device, no cookie consent banner is required. If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and provide the appropriate consent controls.
4. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare and discuss tailored travel quotes and itineraries;
- communicate with you about your request; and
- keep records of our correspondence with you.
Where UK/EU data protection law applies, our legal bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and/or your consent.
5. Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Cloudflare: website hosting, content delivery, security, and cookieless visit statistics.
- Resend: delivers your form submission to us by email.
- Fastmail: our email provider, where we receive and store your message.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with travel suppliers only as necessary to arrange a booking you have requested, and with authorities where required by law.
6. International transfers
We operate across the UAE, the UK, and the US, and some of our providers are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect it.
7. How long we keep it
We retain enquiry information only for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records: normally up to 12 months from our last contact with you, after which it is deleted. Where we are required to keep records for longer (for example, booking or accounting obligations), we keep only what the law requires.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email hello@opulenthorizons.com. UK residents may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
9. Security
We use reputable providers and take reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was most recently revised.
